Last we heard, that Google, which was eyeing from InterDigital in 8800 strong patent hoard.

Now Google is still in the structure, along with Apple, but according to people familiar with the matter, Samsung also entered into negotiations with InterDigital. South Korea-based company has expressed interest in possibly placing a bet on this stone patent portfolio, reports Bloomberg.

I'm not quite sure how to put this in perspective, but if you're not caught up with all patent fights and Nortel saga, it is necessary, I stress how important this is. InterDigital patent portfolio eats Nortel for breakfast. In fact many believe that Google just porazbirat'sâ around with Nortel drive up the price for their competitors while waiting in the wings for something bigger and better.

Well here it is. Arrived more and better, but there's just so happens to be a little competition, heating for this patent treasure. Mainly associated with the transmission of information on mobile PCs, InterDigital patent portfolio basically in a gold mine in the eyes of those phone makers. And we know that selling is most definitely on its way as InterDigital recently hired several bankers for transaction processing.

If Samsung wants to move ahead with the bidding process can take some or all of the portfolio from Google and Apple. This will be a huge boost company of South Korea, which is currently entangled in massive patent war with Apple. InterDigital's patents cover inventions used in devices like the iPhone, Google's Android OS and even RIM BlackBerry. Draw up the rights to this technology has the potential to swing the whole proceedings in Samsung's favor.

However, if Apple snags portfolio, Samsung is in a very risky situation. Although not released game-changing legal regulations, this claim has reached critical mass, with both companies, is trying to ban the importation of other goods. InterDigital portfolio most definitely affected by this case, though, in which the benefit has yet to be determined.
