As we noted in June, Apple builds that need to be the coolest House ever in Cuptertino, California. The building is so important for the company, no less than Steve Jobs went to Cupertino City Council meeting a couple of months ago to close the deal. They ate out of his hand. At this point, everything else is really a formality. "There is no chance that we say no," Cupertino Mayor Gilbert Wong said after the meeting.

Today, Cupertino has released more detailed plans for the city's Web site about the project. Known as "Apple campus, 2 cities, this project will be built on a 175 acre area of about 280 highway. The whole building will be approximately 2.8 million square feet, will be presented (perfect for everyone except Apple's biggest events) 1000 seat auditorium, fitness center, 300 000 square feet of research facilities, power plants and underground parking. But it all sounds boring, you really need to see how it looks: a giant, flying saucer as a cycle. Fortunately Apple in Cupertino include proposal documents, which include many new renderings of the project.

Cupertino says that they still have to consider the environmental impact and have several more public hearings before it is actually approved. But yes, again, this does not get it. Apple plans to prepare the ground for next year and have the new headquarters in 2015. It will house more than 12 000 employees in one mass building.
