During a press conference at Gamescom in Cologne Conference game, Sony announced several new features for their new game console, Vita (watch our hands-on E3 here). Among them were support for Foursquare and Skype. References were made during a conversation on the 3 G model, $ 300, but it does not imply that a 3 G connection.
More powerful than most phones and sport big, bright touch screen and dual camera, Vita should be able to handle these services perfectly. There is no demonstration and no screenshots, however, so the user interface is still a mystery.
It was also unclear whether it will integrate with Vita in other, more system-wide social tools. Sony has a list of system-wide voice chat and friends and Twitter is already integrated to some extent, but these new services can also enter the game.
