Dixon weighs in on carried out by relay chatter, he heard from some investors. He says, "what worries about the current environment is less than the estimates being so high, but more the fact that time is so short that they must make a decision [investment] in three days." Over the last year or so I've noticed a surge in new, scrappy education startups. One of the most promising, I saw it ShowMe, formerly easel training. New York City startup just raised $ 800.000 seed round from Lerer ventures, SV Angel capital, betaworks, BOLDstart and angel investor naval Ravikant. Company employment.

ShowMe turns your Tablet PC into an interactive whiteboard video. Teachers can record lessons during speaking and drawing on the touchscreen. Then the resulting video can be viewed on the iPad app or ShowMe website where they can be found common and voted up. IPad app has been downloaded 150 000 times since its launch a month ago, it's not bad for education.

Videos are crowdsourced from teachers and tutors in the same way that the Khan Academy offers up training video, but with the added message board, which is particularly useful for subjects such as mathematics or natural sciences. But really it works for any entity when the Whiteboard can be used as a learning tool. ShowMe takes a Board from the audience and puts it in the student community.

ShowMe in technology also powers the Princeton Review SAt Prep app.config in the video below, which I shot in April, the Director General Kim San shows off technology.
